{One failsafe way to keep your co-workers happy is to randomly make them cupcakes. It keeps the natives from getting too restless while sweetly disarming their weapons.}
Funny that, all the locking out of user accounts, cable tampering, and other such behaviors designed to break ones spirit at the workplace aside. There’s nothing a cupcake or two can’t fix. Especially my cupcakes. Yes, even the most mortal of enemies will be singing kumbaya while munching cupcakes. All sins forgiven.

{part tiramisu, part simifreddo, part parfait, this creamy boozy hybrid is cool and refreshing. curl up on the couch with a bowl of this after dinner and sweet dreams!}
Two of my favorite deserts are tiramisu and semifreddo, neither of which I know how to make but both of which I’m always lusting after. Driven by such cravings, I found myself illegally parking my broomstick outside of the market this morning with a loosley comprised and smudgy list of ingredients written on my hand. Distressed to find lady fingers nowhere in sight, I settled for a cloud-like angel’s food cake that listlessly floated into my basket instead. Okay, fine.

This is going to sound crazy, but so far I have not found any thai restaurants in LA that can shake a spicy noodle at the places we used to go to in Atlanta. There was about five places we rotated between which were all owned by the same extended family, that spoiled us rotten and ruined thai food for me forever.
They knew us when we walked in, we always got a window table and a refreshing pitcher of ice water was promtly delivered. You could order enything on the menu “thai style” which added a fried egg with a runny yolk atop any dish. No questions asked. You want an egg on it, you got it. Nothing can compare to the fresh and vivid flavors our ATL Thai contingent could offer.
